Most problems are one of a handful of things — an expired link, a client that wants a different config key, a digest sitting in spam. Those are below. Anything else goes to support@questionrelay.com, which reaches a person.
If you were sent a link
Answering a questionnaire
- Someone sent me a link. Do I need an account?
- No. Open it and answer — one question per screen, on whatever device you have. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for, and nothing to pay.
- The link says it has expired, or it won’t open.
- Links are single-use and can be set to expire. Reply to whoever sent it and ask for a fresh one — their agent can reissue the same questions as a new link in seconds.
- Can I go back and change an answer?
- You can move back and forth while you’re filling it in. Once you submit, the link is spent — ask the sender to reissue it if you need to answer again.
- My upload won’t go through.
- Uploads are capped at 10 MB per file by default (up to 100 MB if the sender raised it), 20 files per questionnaire, and the sender may have limited which file types are accepted. If a file is too large, send it to them directly instead.

Setup and connection
- My agent can’t see the Question Relay tools.
- Check the transport is HTTP (not SSE or stdio) and that the URL is exactly the one below — a trailing slash, or a
urlkey where the client expectsserverUrl, fails silently in some clients. The connect page has the exact config per client. - It asks me to sign in every time, or never asks at all.
- Question Relay uses OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration — leave Client ID and Secret blank. If the sign-in window never appears, remove the server from your client and add it again; a half-finished registration is the usual cause.
- Which tools should my agent be seeing?
- Four: create_questionnaire, get_results, list_questionnaires, and reissue_questionnaire. If you see fewer, the connection completed but the session isn’t authenticated — reconnect and finish the sign-in.
- Can I use a REST API instead of MCP?
- No. The MCP server is the only agent interface, deliberately — one authenticated surface, scoped to your account.

Links, results, and limits
- I’ve lost the results link for a questionnaire.
- Ask your agent to run list_questionnaires to find the id, then get_results for the answers and a fresh results link. Every submission is also emailed to you as a digest, files included.
- The answers never arrived by email.
- Check spam first, then confirm the questionnaire was actually submitted — get_results reports pending, completed, or expired. If it says completed and no email arrived, send us the questionnaire id and we’ll trace the delivery.
- I sent a link to the wrong person.
- Reissue it. The old link stops working immediately and the questionnaire gets a new id — use that one from then on. Answers already submitted stay under the old id.
- I need more than three file-collecting questionnaires this month.
- Email us. There is no usage meter and we won't cut you off mid-month. See pricing →
- I want my account or a questionnaire deleted.
- Email us and we'll do it. What we store, and why, is set out on the privacy page.

support@questionrelay.com — the one address, for bugs, account and deletion requests, paid-tier questions, and anything the pages above don't cover. We're a small team, so replies come within a working day or two rather than instantly.
It helps a lot if you include the questionnaire id (or the link), the MCP client you're using, and what you expected to happen.
